BULLHEAD CITY, AZ – Bullhead City has announced its scheduled maintenance and capital improvement projects for the week of July 13, with several road projects, utility upgrades, and construction activities taking place throughout the city.
Road Work & Traffic Impacts
Meadows Drive
- City crews will pave the section where the raised median was recently removed.
Lakeside Drive
- Contractors working for Bullhead City Utilities will continue installing a new manhole, rehabilitating an existing manhole, and replacing approximately 80 feet of sewer main between the Smith’s parking lot entrance and Riviera Boulevard.
- Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction while crews work in the southbound lanes.
- Coral Isle Drive access to Lakeside Drive remains closed. Residents should use Surf Spray Drive as a detour until the project is complete.
Highway 95 (Georgia Lane to E. Shore Villas Drive)
- Perco Rock Company continues drainage improvements, access upgrades for businesses, and final project work.
- Crews will work overnight Monday through Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Access to the business plaza between Plata Drive and Colina Drive from Highway 95 will be temporarily closed. Motorists should use Plata Drive or Colina Drive to enter the plaza.
- The speed limit through the construction zone remains reduced to 30 mph.
Highway 95 & City Centre Development
- McCormick Construction will continue paving the new southbound right-turn lane into the future City Centre development between Marina Boulevard and Riverview Drive during overnight weekday hours.
Gold Rush Road & Black Mountain Road
- Periodic road closures will occur as contractors upgrade an existing gas main.
- Residents within the closure area will continue to have access to their homes.
Silver Creek Road
- The eastbound lane at Gold Rush Road remains closed for several weeks while gas line improvements are completed. Traffic is being diverted through the center median.
Parks & Utility Projects
- T.R. Orr, Inc. continues construction of new public restrooms at Community Park, just south of the Bullhead Belle.
- Contractors for Bullhead City Utilities will complete asphalt and concrete repairs at locations where recent water line repairs have been made.
- Kay Constructors LLC continues construction of a new aeration basin at the Section 10 Wastewater Treatment Plant, part of the City’s long-term water reclamation expansion.
- Bullhead City Utilities is also rehabilitating a clarifier at the Section 10 facility to improve efficiency and extend the lifespan of the infrastructure.

City Reminder
Bullhead City also reminds residents to flush only human waste, toilet paper, and grey water. Flushing other materials can damage the City’s sewer infrastructure and lead to costly repairs.
Motorists are urged to use caution in all construction zones, obey posted traffic signs, and slow down to help keep workers and other drivers safe.
